How to get a recipe to use the latest version of a connector

I was under the impression that recipes would use the released version of a connector. I have updated a connector and added some additional fields to be returned. Testing the connector action shows those new fields. I have released the connector. In the recipe designer, the fields are not shown. I have tried deleting the action in the recipe and creating new recipes. It just doesn’t want to show the new fields. What do I have to do to get them to show up in the recipe editor?
