New Intelligent Invoice Processing Accelerator by Cloudorizon

This Accelerator provides a “plug and play” resource for Workato builders to incorporate into their recipes to streamline invoice processing with an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) AI. For organizations that have applications that require connecting to Accounts Payable, Document Share Drive, or Messaging Tool, the simple instructions in this manual will enable the correct applications to be used.

The Invoice Accelerator provides an easy solution to process invoices to an Accounts Payable system. Features include:

  • Receiving incoming invoices in PDF format, extracting attachments and send to OCR.
  • Human in the loop to auto-validation of invoice data by OCR AI.
  • Validating custom business rules in Workato by Cloudorizon’s Workato-based Business Rules Engine.
  • Notifications & alerting: ensure that the right people are notified via the appropriate channels, whether it be a channel on Slack, email, creating a ticket, or another app to approve or reject invoices.
  • Sending the approved invoice to an Accounts Payable System or notifying the sender of the failed business rules and reason for rejection of the invoice by email.
Please reach out if you are interested in this accelerator!

SDK - Wait for Resume actions

The Connector SDK is one of our most heavily used features, with 40% of all jobs using at least 1 custom connector. Our north stars have always been to allow our customers to build connectors that meet their evolving business needs. Today, We are happy to announce a new type of actions available to all connector developers!

What is it?
Wait for resume actions allows you to define actions that can suspend jobs until an event occurs in an external system. These could be actions to:
  • Submit an invoice and wait for approval/rejection.
  • Email prospect and wait for the email to be opened.
Why?
Connectors have always been a key way for us to abstract away API complexities from end users, such as the ability to handle large files through our file streaming actions and work with async APIs through our multi-step actions. Increasingly, we see customers and partners ask for ways to integrate more closely with Workato, so recipes can better model a workflow in their application. This has been a feature that has also been introduced elsewhere, like Workbot's new ability to Wait for user input, resulting in a simpler recipe-build experience.
